SOURCING SPECIALIST
We are currently recruiting for a Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Mawson Lakes.
In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic development of a supply-base network (domestic and international) to optimise supplier resilience within General Dynamics for the customer’s requirements.
In addition, you will:
- Act as the lead for procurement in all industry knowledge and pre-quoting activity.
- Establish and maintain an extensive supplier network through ongoing supplier investigations and capability matrix.
- Perform investigations of commodity and parts analysis (pricing and trends) for preparing sourcing bid-lists.
- Track supplier and product capability alignment, product availability, lead-time and commodity industry issues.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Degree in Business, Finance or Supply Chain Management (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree).
- Demonstrated ability to research and reach back to other GDLS Business Units and the Commonwealth to obtain rationale for procurement demand.
- Ability to prepare and present analysis/presentations to GDLS Leadership and the Commonwealth.
- Demonstrated experience in interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, preferably within the Defence Industry.
To be successful for this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance.
