Electronics Technician
We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Technician to join our team in Townsville.
In this role, you will be our local subject-matter-expert responsible for supporting and maintaining the electronics behind our armoured vehicle fleet. From turrets, to control systems, you will assist in repairing, supporting and training internal and external staff to ensure service levels are maintained to a high standard.
In addition, you will:
- Perform specialised electronic, electrical/mechanical test and fault finding activities
- Troubleshoot turret and vehicle systems to determine operating problems and malfunctions, and recommend repairs to restore systems to normal operating status
- Maintain records of activities performed, analyse data collected and report results into MILIS and GDLS-A databases.
Your skills and experience will include:
- Demonstrated electronic technician experience on the M1A1-2, ASLAV, M88A2 or other Defence related vehicles
- Hold an electronics/electrical trade qualification or similar
- HR license (desirable)
- Experience working with or for Defence (desirable)
To be successful for this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance. In addition, applicants will be required to complete a pre-medical.
